There is a grant of €100 towards the final BER. All BER Certs are accompanied by an Advisory Report. This Advisory Report includes a list of suggested improvements such as Heating system efficiency, Heating controls, Insulation in walls and attic, Ventilation and Lighting. These improvements range from No cost, Low cost to high cost and have a pay back time scale of 6 months to 5 years. When Greener Energy Homes carry out a Building Energy Rating on your home the assessor will sit down with you and explain the findings and help you to plan your project to achieve the most cost efficient way to improve the energy efficiency of your home. Then you can get quotations from a number of contractors (contractors must be registered with SEAI) and then your ready to fill in the grant forms for the Home Energy Saving scheme.
